Making Sunday special: 2025 programme revealed for concerts in Streatley church

Bi-monthly series celebrates Spain, Bach and good music

A Streatley church is looking forward to continuing its series of Sunday concerts across 2025, with the first taking place later this month.

St Mary’s organises the events with the aim of bringing top musicians to the village, giving people a chance to hear all kinds of music, and at the early time of 4pm.

Afterwards, light refreshments are available in exchange for donations.

What’s happening at the January Streatley concert?

Gary Jordan will play the guitar, and Seth Williams will be on the piano.

Together they will perform Spanish Fantasia for Guitar and Piano.

The programme will include Joaquin Rodrigo’s Fantasia para Gentlehombre and works by Tedesco and Marchelie.

Tickets cost £10, or £9.

They will only be available on the door, and organisers say it is cash only.

The concert is planned for Sunday, January 26, from 4pm.

Advance bookings and further information can be made by texting 07762 339853, or emailing stmarysconcerts@hotmail.co.uk. People should not phone the number, just send a message.
