A triple bill of international punk rock music is coming to Reading this summer as three rising bands from across the globe make their debuts in the town.
Independent promoter Future Transmissions has secured the showcase featuring two acts from the United States and one from South Korea.
The event features the Las Vegas-based sibling punk trio The Dollheads, who have spent the last year performing across several major international festivals, including SBAM Fest in Austria and the Rebellion Festival in the United Kingdom.
The group established its presence with the 2022 album What Teenage Angst and subsequent releases, including the Adol-essence album. Their music frequently addresses themes of feminism, identity, and mental health.
Joining them are 18 Fevers, a four-piece rock band formed in Seoul in 2021.
The South Korean outfit is known for a distinct death-punk disco style that combines aggressive post-punk and goth influences with a high-energy live performance.
The line-up features vocalist and guitarist Christmas, lead guitarist Yuhee, bass player Matt, and drummer Garik.
The band has previously completed two tours of the United Kingdom, including appearances at the Rebellion Festival.
Completing the line-up are Xtine and the Reckless Hearts, a punk group originating from Los Angeles.
Frontwoman Xtine Reckless brings a diverse musical background to the band as the daughter of the legendary reggae musician Fully Fullwood. Influenced heavily by classic punk acts such as Rancid and Operation Ivy, the group is also actively involved in the Gritty In Pink movement. Their current single, Dead Weight, was co-produced by Tim Armstrong of Rancid.
The gig represents a rare opportunity for local music fans to catch three touring international acts in an intimate setting during their debut performances in the town.
