Oh la la! Quintet – enjoy A Night in Paris with quick trip to Maidenhead

Close your eyes, you’re in Paris not Maidenhead thanks to Oh la la! Quintet – A Night in Paris

The Oh la la! Quintet present to audiences a mixture of Parisian folk music (musette), impressionist music, French chanson and unforgettable 20s upbeat and 50s smooth jazz.

There’s also film noir/nouvelle music, the occasional rearranged cool 60s French pop tune as well as original material from their upcoming album.

The dulcet tones of Parisian born Fifi la Mer’s voice and the evocative sound of her accordion blend with the talents of Oliver Wilby on clarinet.

Then the exuberance and beautiful sound of Oliver’s saxophone transports audiences to a buzzy jazz club with the cool feel of Simon Picton on guitar and the groove of Julian Bury on double bass.

That’s what’s in store for audiences at Norden Farm Centre For The Arts later this month.

The Oh la la! Quintet have performed more than 1,200 concerts during the past 10 years.

They have played in venues up and down the country including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Upstairs at Ronnie’s, the Brasserie Zedel (Piccadilly), the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Wilton Music Hall, the National Theatre St Martin in the Fields, the Ignite, Elgar Room and Café Verdi at the Royal Albert Hall.

They have also played on the Orient Express, the Belle Vallee on the river Seine, at London Fashion Week at Somerset House, music festivals such as London City Festival, Richmond World Music Festival, Bloomsbury Festival, Old Gaffers, Royal Ascot and at the residence of the French ambassador in London.

The Quintet have had television appearances including ITV’s Mr Selfridge and a NatWest advertising campaign.

Organisers say visitors should expect a very entertaining, fun and romantic evening.
