Popular 1980s programme Murder She Wrote will be celebrated at Arlington Arts Centre this autumn

An interactive screening of the classic episode of the hit drama series Murder She Wrote is coming to Newbury this autumn.

The evening, Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote, features games, prizes, and audience participation and will be hosted by super-fan Tim Benzie.

The show, which has played to sell-out audiences across the UK and Australia, has been rated one of Time Out’s 50 Great Nights Out in London.

It has been a hit at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for two consecutive years.

Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote features…

The unique and hilarious night will feature a race to solve the crime using the Fameometer and the Suspiciometer.

There will also be a Cabot Cove quiz and a sing-along to the Murder She Wrote theme tune with new lyrics.

The night will also include clips and biographies of the guest stars from the episode, Paint Me a Murder. Among those featured are  Cesar Romero, who was the Joker in the 1960s TV version of Batman.

The episode of Murder She Wrote sees Jessica Fletcher attempt to find out whodunit … The birthday celebration for a renowned Mediterranean artist is cut short when the guest of honour winds up dead.

Tim Benzie is an award-winning playwright and co-writer of the Royal Vauxhall Tavern’s pantos. He is also the co-producer of the camp club night PopHorror.

When is Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote coming to Arlington Arts Centre and how do I get tickets?

Solve-Along-A Murder-She-Wrote will take place on Sunday, September 7, at 7.30pm. The show has a recommended age of 16 upwards.

The event celebrating Murder She Wrote will be held at the Arlington Arts Centre, Mary Hare, Snelsmore Common, Newbury, RG14 3BQ.

Tickets are £21 including a booking fee.
