Glasses are being polished, shakers are being stirred, and cherries are being placed on sticks, all ready for Reading Cocktail Week: a celebration that will span the town.

Running over 10 days from Saturday, 3 July, to Monday, 12 July, an impressive 24 different bars, restaurants and venues will be taking part, creating some of the finest Manhattans, Screwdrivers, and Harvey Wallbangers known to mankind … and some other surprises.

Those joining the fun can buy wristbands that grant access to hundreds of special drink offers, such as signature cocktails from just £5, along with special food deals and events.

Participating venues are:

  • The Botanist
  • Flight Club
  • Boom Battle Bar
  • Cosy Club
  • Lola Lo
  • Milk Bar

  • Rosa’s Thai
  • Miller & Carter
  • The Reading Room

Each venue has been tasked with creating a signature cocktail and a mocktail for wristband wearers to enjoy. Selected venues will also offer additional cocktail deals, food discounts, and other exciting experiences as the event progresses.

Alice Christison, director of M.ad Agency – the organisers of Cocktail Week, is looking forward to the event coming to Reading.

“With top venues offering iconic cocktails and mocktails, this is sure to be one of the finest events across the 10 days. I would encourage everyone to grab some tickets for the best summer event in the town,” she said.

This view is shared by Alexa Volker, manager of Reading BID (Business Improvement District), part of REDA, who said: “Reading’s vibrant nighttime economy has so much to offer, and we’re pleased to be working with M-ad to shine a light on our fantastic cocktail scene. We look forward to welcoming you to our venues.”
