Top comic Sue Perkins reveals date she’ll visit Reading’s Hexagon: strong demand for tickets expected

Star to come to town with her new show The Eternal Shame of Sue Perkins

Fans of TV comic Sue Perkins will be making Valentine’s Day extra special when they book tickets for her visit to Reading.

The star of many, many popular shows is to tour with her new show, The Eternal Flame of Sue Perkins.

And she was determined to ensure that the Ding was one of the stops, with her setting a date for The Hexagon theatre.

What is The Eternal Shame of Sue Perkins?

As this is a new show, very little information is available about The Eternal Shame of Sue Perkins.

Here is what we know so far:

You may know her as Bake-Off Sue, Taskmaster Sue, Just A Minute Sue, or the Sue that gives you travel envy – but stand-up Sue is full of surprises.

In this brand-new show, she shares the unlikely happenings from a career in the spotlight.

How do you convince the public you didn’t really fall onto that hoover attachment?

And when intimate photos get splashed all over the internet, how do you switch the shame to dignity and joy?

This is her first live show in more than a decade, and in it, Sue Perkins aims to deliver a hilarious treatise on stigma, humiliation, and misunderstanding.

Where have I seen Sue Perkins before?

Sue Perkins has been a familiar face on our screens since the late 1990s.

She shot to fame with her Late Lunch show, hosted by her comedy partner Mel Giedroyc. The pair went on to front a number of shows including the first few series of The Great British Bake Off and a revival of The Generation Game.

Sue has also appeared ono Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week, QI, Room 101, Celebrity Weakest Link, Question Time and Newsnight, while she hid her identity when she guested on The Masked Singer on ITV.

And she is also a familiar voice on radio, notably appearing on Just A Minute.

When is Sue Perkins coming to Reading and how can I get tickets?

The Eternal Shame of Sue Perkins will be coming to The Hexagon next year.

Sue’s show will be performed on Saturday, March 7, 2026. It is suitable for people aged 16 and over.
