Wokingham Festival to delight audiences with more than 40 artists over bank holiday weekend

Wokingham Festival 2025 is set to get underway over the August bank holiday weekend.

The festival has announced its final line-up of acts, its sponsors, and an exclusive T-shirt design, with pre-orders now available online.

Organisers say that the weekend will feature some terrific music, with more than 40 artists appearing across the weekend.

The bill primarily focuses on original acts, but also features a handful of covers and tribute bands, ensuring there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Final additions include Natalie Gray, He Fired First, EBB, Bevendene, and Revolver.

Scottish art‐rockers EBB are a six-piece band known for their dramatic live shows, and were winners of Prog Magazine’s Best New Band award in 2024.

Synthpop artist Natalie Gray is originally from Reading, and headlined at Readipop last year.

He Fired First is a high‐octane folk punk trio, while Bevendene are a young four‐piece rock band from Reading, and recently had the honour of announcing the Reading FC third kit.

Revolver are another local band who will be entertaining the crowd with indie anthems.

Entertainment and music combine for a family-friendly event

The August bank holiday Monday line-up continues to have a flavour of Prog and Classic Rock, with the Tom Robinson Band headlining on the main stage in their last full band appearance of the year.

Other acts include Solstice – Prog magazine’s Best Band of 2024,  EBB, and The John Hackett Band.

On the marquee stage, The Dead Can Wait, Leonie Jakobi and AlphaLine have been announced.

Headliners on the main stage are Our Own Way – A Tribute to Fleetwood Mac on Saturday, and A Head Full of Coldplay.

Other acts include Puma Theory, Selina and the Howlin’ Dogs, Red Hoax Chili Peppers, Verdagears and The Stretch.

Beyond the music, the festival will feature a wide range of food from around the world, family entertainment including circus skills and mini golf, as well as a selection of craft beers, cocktails and stalls to browse for bargains.

Festival organiser Dean Nelson says: “It’s been great to see the reputation of the Festival grow as we have upgraded the second stage to accommodate full bands and promote exciting local original artists, along with the third, prog-rock-themed, day bringing in acts you would not expect to see in a field in Wokingham.”

The Wokingham Festival team say they are grateful to sponsors for supporting the community‐based event, as without them they would not be able to stage the event.

Main stage sponsors are once again Trademark Windows and Conservatories, and we are delighted they are continuing their multi‐year relationship with the festival.

The team add that they are welcoming back Sydenhams, the Wokingham Word, Stowhill Estates as sponsors and, for the first time, St Vincents Veterinary Surgery.
