A new wave of emerging rock talent will take to the stage at Arlington Arts Centre this December as the Rising Stars Showcase II returns to Newbury.

The evening will feature live sets from Revenant, Small Town Saviours, Get Loose and InAir, bringing together a mix of southern-tinged rock, punk-inflected anthems, blues-rock swagger and modern alt-rock.

The Rising Stars Showcase series is designed to spotlight up-and-coming bands making an impact on the live circuit, and this second edition promises a high-energy night with a strong emphasis on original music.

Revenant, formed in 2023, deliver a powerful rock sound with a southern edge. Their debut EP What A Time To Be Alive was released in May last year and drew strong critical attention, blending influences from Guns N’ Roses and Lynyrd Skynyrd through to Blackberry Smoke and Metallica.

Expect a tight, high-octane set from a band quickly gaining momentum.

Small Town Saviours’ sound is built around buoyant energy, large riffs and melodic harmonies.

With clear nods to The Ramones, Guns N’ Roses, Green Day and Kiss, the band have developed a reputation for explosive live performances supported by a growing back catalogue of crowd-friendly tracks.

Get Loose bring a blues-rock flavour to the line-up, known for their dynamic stage presence and original material. The band’s music combines gritty guitar work with lyrical swagger, earning praise for its replay value and confident delivery.

Rounding out the showcase are InAir, a Reading- and Oxford-based four-piece who bridge heavy metal textures with soaring alternative rock.

Drawing on a wide range of influences, their sound shifts between weight and atmosphere, creating a set designed to keep audiences engaged from start to finish.
