Families are invited to celebrate Christmas Eve with Father Christmas himself when Santa’s Christmas Party comes to Newbury just before the big day.

Set in the heart of the North Pole, the interactive show follows Santa and his friends as they prepare for the busiest night of the year. But with decorations missing, party games broken and the Christmas music mysteriously gone, it soon becomes clear that something is wrong.

Dotty the Elf, Dasher the Reindeer and Pompom the Penguin all need help, after Jack Frost appears to be determined to put a stop to Santa’s Christmas Party altogether.

Young audiences are encouraged to join in, helping to save the celebrations through a lively mix of festive songs, audience participation and party games.

The 45-minute production is designed especially for children aged two to eight, combining storytelling with familiar Christmas favourites including Jingle Bells, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, The Twelve Days of Christmas and We Wish You A Merry Christmas.

After the show, the experience continues with a visit to Santa’s North Pole home, where every child will receive a special present from Father Christmas during a meet, greet and treat session.

When is Santa’s Christmas Party coming to Arlington Arts Centre and how do I get tickets?

It takes place at Arlington Arts Centre in Newbury at 11am on Wednesday 24 December – perfect for little ones looking forward to Christmas Day.

Doors to the venue open one hour before the performance, with the bar opening at the same time. Auditorium doors usually open 30 minutes before the show starts. Visitors are advised that there is no cash machine on site.
