He’s said to be the funniest dad on Instagram … now he’s bringing his online comedy to Reading.

George Lewis is a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and presenter from Stockport who has achieved remarkable success on social media for his sketches.

They include skits on the big things in life, such as owning an air fryer, watching a David Beckham documentary, and the excruciating experience of trying to do a jigsaw with your child.

With more than 300,000 followers across his platforms and 250 million views on Instagram alone, George has sold out his recently announced debut UK Tour, with extra dates being added due to overwhelming demand.

This includes a visit to South Street Arts Centre on Friday, November 15, which has been so popular it has sold out and a waiting list is in operation.

The show is, he promises, not just about parenting though, because he has done loads this year. He’s bought a new Hoover, watched some more stuff on Netflix … loads.

So, activate the parents’ whatsapp groups, dump the kids with whoever is willing to have them, and join George for a brilliant night out.

Between #makingmemories with his kids, George has also appeared on The Stand Up Sketch Show and Comedy Central Live, written a bestselling book (Don’t Panic! All the stuff the expectant dad needs to know) and has supported Romesh Ranganathan, Tom Allen, Russell Kane and Josh Widdicombe on their national tours.

In recent years, George has appeared on the BBC New Talent Hotlist, was the winner of Celebrity Mastermind (specialist subject: Oasis), appeared on Comedy Central Live, hosted the Britpopcast podcast (Global) and Top Gear Extra Gear (BBC Two, Three and Worldwide), and appeared as a regular on ITV2’s The Stand Up Sketch Show.

George has also written for some of the biggest shows on TV and radio, including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News for You, Hypothetical, BBC Radio 4. He also has a weekly football column in The Times.

The show is for ages 14 upwards, and there is a support act before George’s set.

As it has sold out, a waiting list will be in operation. Tickets cost £16.50 including a booking fee and can be ordered from the whatsonreading.com website, or by calling the box office on 0118 960 6060.
