Rosa’s Thai is due to open very soon in Reading town centre, taking over a large part of Jackson’s Corner, once home to the former department store Jackson’s.
The chain has more than 40 branches across the country and this will be its first in Reading.
Unsurprisingly, it specialises in Thai cuisine.
Its website says: “Our menu uses the best ingredients straight from Thai producers, from tamarind sauce that goes into every Pad Thai to coconut milk used in every single curry, so that the final dishes taste exactly like how we cook it in Thailand.”
When will Rosa’s Thai in Reading open?
The venue, on the corner of Kings Road and the High Street in Reading town centre, has undergone a transformation. No longer a department store, it has been divided into different units.
They include a cake shop and a hair studio, as well as Rosa’s Thai and these are already open.
Rosa’s Thai is due to open for a soft launch from Tuesday, January 21, and for the first fortnight – until Sunday, January 2 – it is offering a 50% discount on all food. Drinks are full price.
In a post on social media, the team said: “Big news, Reading! 🎉 Rosa’s Thai is finally coming your way, and we couldn’t be more excited to share our seriously good Thai food with you 🍜
“To celebrate, we’re treating you to 50% off all food (yes, really!) from Tuesday 21st January to Sunday 2nd February while our team gets prepped and ready for the big opening.”
