Rewind Festival 2025: Soft Cell, Holly Johnson, ABC and more

Three days of retro pop magic, glamping, inflatable weddings, and a firework finale – Rewind Festival is back later this month

If you only go to one festival this summer wearing sequins, legwarmers or neon face paint, make it Rewind 2025.

The ultimate retro music party returns to Temple Island Meadows, Henley-on-Thames from Friday, August 15, to Sunday, August 17, promising big tunes, big hair, and even bigger vibes.

This year’s Saturday night headliners are synth-pop legends Soft Cell, in an exclusive 2025 UK appearance. Audiences can expect a glorious set packed with 80s anthems, weird synths and Marc Almond’s iconic vocals.

Sunday’s headline slot belongs to Holly Johnson from Frankie Goes To Hollywood, celebrating 40 years of Welcome to the Pleasuredome. It’s a chance to hear Relax, Two Tribes, and more, live and loud – with glitter, lasers and camp classics guaranteed.

Other acts across the weekend include:

At Rewind on Saturday, August 16

ABC, Tom Bailey (Thompson Twins), Sugarhill Gang X, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Boyzlife, Cutting Crew, Go West, Wang Chung, The South, and Junior

At Rewind on Sunday, August 17

Midge Ure, Matt Goss, Heaven 17, Haircut 100, Blue, The Selecter, Roachford, T’Pau, Chesney Hawkes, and Tenpole Tudor.

And there is more to Rewind Festival than the main stages.

There will be a feast of entertainment to explore.

Rewind says many festival favourites will be returning.

As always, it’s more than just the music. Festival favourites return, including:

  • The Pink Flamingo: hosted by Henny Powell and featuring 80s entertainer Timmy Mallett, and games from Jet from the Gladiators. DJing will be Jackie Brambles and CBBC Broom Cupboard legend Andy Crane. Also dropping in will be Basil Brush.
  • A Silent Disco for late-night throwbacks
  • The Inflatable Church (yes, you can get fake-married)
  • Funfair rides, vintage stalls, kid-zone, and full-on glamping options
  • The iconic firework finale to close the weekend in style
