He’s back, and it’s partly thanks to a cucumber.

Comedian Ed Gamble is returning to The Hexagon’s stage this November, serving up another dose of his hit show Hot Diggity Dog.

The award-winning comedian has had a charmed life, appearing on BBC Two’s Great British Menu as a host, winning Taskmaster, and then hosting its podcast.

He has also popped up as host of Traitors: Uncloaked, the spin-off from the BBC One murder mystery game show… and he’s also achieved worldwide fame thanks to a fast-food ban.

Why?

Well, when it came to promoting Hot Diggity Dog in London, he fell foul of the ban on fast food advertising on the Underground.

The sausage had to go.

In came a cucumber … and it captured the imagination of publications the world over, even making waves Down Under.

You can find out more in the show.

Organisers say: “Ed Gamble has minced a load of meat (thoughts), piped it into a casing (show) and it’s coming to a bun (venue) near you.

“There will be all your classic Gamble ranting, raving and spluttering but he’s doing fine mentally.

“Promise.”

This is an extension to his original tour, due to popular demand.

His Reading gig is on Wednesday, November 6, from 7.30pm.

Tickets are for ages 14 and above only, and cost £27.50.
