How do you get to Edinburgh? Via Henley and Marlow!

Before the world’s largest performing arts festival takes place this August, the comedians behind several of the Fringe’s most anticipated shows will be bringing previews to Rebellion Brewery in Marlow and The Relais Henley.

Honk! comedy nights is holding a series of Edinburgh work-in-progress nights throughout May, June and July, starting on Wednesday, 20 May, when Taskmaster champion Sophie Duker will give the audience at Marlow’s Rebellion Brewery an early taste of her new show Hot Beef Injection.

June boasts two double bills: Davina Bentley’s Dancing While Old and Hasan Al-Habib’s Stuck in the Middle (East) With You at Rebellion on Wednesday, 3 June, followed by online sensation Rosie Holt (The Illegal Aliens Have Landed!) and So You Think You’re Funny winner Madeleine Brettingham (Legend) at The Relais Henley on Thursday, 25 June.

July sees Live at the Apollo and QI star Catherine Bohart head to Marlow ahead of her Edinburgh run and nationwide tour Borrowing Trouble, as well as another double bill as Marty Gleeson and Tamsyn Kelly bring previews of Dog Ear and Rat’s Ass.

And, just days before Edinburgh Fringe begins, Li Jin Hao previews Falling From A Moon at The Relais Henley on 30 July.

Honk! Organiser Tom Ryan said: “It’s a real treat to bring these amazing acts to what I’m calling Edinburgh-on-Thames; the audience love hearing new jokes – some of which may never be heard again – and in recent years shows that have previewed with us have gone on to win major awards at the Fringe, for which we like to take undue credit!”

When are the Honk! Edinburgh on Thames comedy nights being performed, and how can I get tickets?

The Edinburgh Fringe preview nights take place across various dates from May to July at Rebellion Brewery in Marlow and The Relais Henley. Sophie Duker performs on Wednesday 20 May, followed by shows on 3 June, 25 June, and 30 July.
