Norden Farm celebrates 25 years with community focus

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a special event, The Great Big Community Show.

The celebratory evening will feature performances from local groups, including the Norden Farm Daytime Choir, Maidenhead Drama Guild, Norden Farm Evening Choir, Maidenhead Concert Band, Norden Farm Bring Baby Choir, Maidenhead Operatic Society, and its Salsa Group.

The event will be hosted by Jeff Lloyd of The Vinyl Frontier fame.

Jane Corry, the arts centre’s Chief Executive and Artistic Director, says: “Community is at the heart of everything we do. We are thrilled to showcase local talent as the finale to this week of celebrations for our 25th anniversary.”

A week of celebrations

The Great Big Community Show is the culmination of a week of events marking the centre’s 25-year history.

The celebrations kick off with dance-friendly events in the Courtyard Theatre, with the seats removed for Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet on Saturday, September 13, and The Rhymatones on Tuesday, September 16.

Local arts groups will also have tables in the foyer, where audiences can learn about their work and how to get involved.
