Summer might seem far away, but tonight two top comics have Edinburgh and August firmly on their mind, and they want to show you why. Garrett Millerick and James Trickey are preparing for the famous fringe festival and will preview their works in progress at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Wednesday, 18 February at 7.30pm.

Garrett Millerick is a stand-up comedian whose television credits include a performance on the US late-night talk show Conan.

This followed his live show Sunflower, which was one of the most reviewed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018. In 2024, Garrett created, wrote, and starred in the BBC Radio 4 sitcom Do Gooders, featuring a cast including Frank Skinner and Fay Ripley.

The show was named critic’s choice in publications including The Sunday Times, The Observer, and The Independent.

James Trickey is a comedian who transitioned into stand-up from a career in accounting. James uses a blend of physical comedy and scripted routines.

His Edinburgh Fringe debut hour Don’t Count On Me was a sell-out success, with The Guardian stating “Trickey has certainly got it.”

He recently featured in an episode of BBC’s Funny Parts and was nominated for Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival.

When is Avalon Edinburgh Preview: Garrett Millerick and James Trickey coming to Maidenhead, and how can I get tickets?

The event will take place on Wednesday 18 February 2026 at 7.30pm. The show is recommended for ages 14 and over and tickets cost £15.

They can be purchased through the Box Office on 01628 788997 or online via the norden.farm website.

The venue is Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Altwood Road, Maidenhead, SL6 4PF.
