An evening of good reading, good company, and good wine is promised by a Caversham venue as they hold a special tasting event this November.
Fourbears Books in Caversham is an independent bookseller, offering everything from the latest bestsellers to some of the most popular children’s books ever published.
The store regularly hosts special events, and in recent weeks has hosted Alexander McCall Smith, author of the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency series, former children’s laureate Cressida Cowell who writes the How To Tame Your Dragon series, and Tom Mead, author of mysteries including his latest, Cabaret Macabre.
It also hosts storytime sessions for babies, and ages five to eight, and nine to 11.
And on Thursday, November 28, its Festive Wine With Words will showcase the perfect pairings of fiction with wine.
An expert from Wine Curious has selected six bottles that will go perfectly well with some festive reading.
The event is an opportunity to learn more about the wines, the grapes and the background behind the bottle, while also enjoying some seasonal readings.
It will be held in Fourbears Books, from 7pm and lasts for two hours.
Tickets cost £35 and include the chance to try the wines.
These can be booked by logging on to the Fourbears Books website: https://www.fourbearsbooks.co.uk/event-details/festive-wine-with-words
