They are said to be the UK’s favourite science team is set to return to Reading with their most explosive production to date.

Direct from the West End, Ministry of Science Live will bring its unique brand of anarchic science communication to The Hexagon on Sunday 1 March 2026.

The new show, titled Science Saved The World, highlights how scientific thinking and innovation have helped return life to normal in recent years while inspiring the next generation of inventors.

Presenters will lead the audience through a high-energy journey into how science shapes the modern world.

The performance is designed to be deeply educational while maintaining a fast-paced, entertaining atmosphere.

Attendees can expect a variety of large-scale demonstrations, including 20ft liquid nitrogen clouds, fire tornadoes, and self-built hovercrafts. The show also features hydrogen bottle rockets and the ignition of methane to demonstrate the power of engineering and chemical reactions.

The performance is suitable for children, families, and young adults, providing an accessible look at the work of famous scientists, engineers, and inventors.

By showcasing some jaw-dropping experiments, the team aims to prove that everyone has the ability to change the world for the better through science. With a mix of loud bangs and interactive moments, it is billed as a production that is 100 per cent educational and 400 per cent fun for families in Reading.

When is Ministry of Science Live coming to Reading, and how can I get tickets?

The Ministry of Science Live performance of Science Saved The World takes place on Sunday 1 March 2026. The show starts at 12:30pm, and it takes place at The Hexagon, which is located at Queens Walk, Reading, RG1 7QF.

Ticket prices are £18.50 for adults, £17.50 for under 16s, and a family of four ticket is available for £68, which covers a maximum of two adults.

There is a limit of six tickets bookable online per customer.
