Take five musicians and one stand-up, and you’ve got The Horne Section, and they are coming to The Hexagon this November.

Familiar faces on TV thanks to, among other things, band leader Alex Horne’s appearances on Taskmaster and Eight Out of 10 Cats, the group promise to bring their unruly, ridiculous, and surprisingly satisfying stylings to an array of new songs.

The show will include plentiful enthusiastic dancing, party games, and a lot of mucking about.

The Horne Section’s Hit Show includes comedy, songs, dancing and more.

This is an all-new show which has been touring across the country this year.

Reading was meant to be their penultimate date, but they have been so popular the tour has been extended, including a Christmas Shindig special festive show on Sunday, December 8, at London’s Indigo O2.

They will also be staying on the road until November next year.

Dates include June 3 at The Anvil in Basingstoke.

The Hexagon appearance on Wednesday, November 20 is close to selling out, and the box office may have some returns if it does reach capacity.

The show is suitable for ages 12 upwards, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets cost £27.50.

The Horne Section have had their own sitcom on Channel 4, and they have been the house band on BBC One’s Peter Crouch’s Save Our Summer, while appearing on their own BBC  Radio 4 show, and creating a podcast that has appeared on iTunes as a table topper.

Members of The Horne Section have performed with recording artists including Robbie Williams, Madness, Florence and the Machine, Amy Winehouse, George Ezra, Basement Jaxx, Discolsure and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

The band comprises Alex Horne (band leader), Joe Auckland (trumpet and banjo), Mark Brown (saxophone and guitar), Will Collier (bass and guitar), Ben Reynolds (drums and percussion) and Ed Sheldrake (keyboards).
