For 1 night only: Olly Murs is coming to Reading to wow his fans

Olly Murs is coming to Reading’s Palmer Park this summer for one night only.

The X-Factor contestant shot to fame after becoming its runner-up in the 2009 series.

He signed to RCA Records, Sony Music, EMI Records and Columbia Records, releasing a string of hits including the number one singles Heart Skips A Beat and Dance With Me Tonight.

Along the way he has performed a number of duets including a version of Angels with Robbie Williams, while he also performed at the King’s coronation concert held in Windsor Castle in May 2023.

Olly Murs also returned to television, presenting The X Factor spin-off show The Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack in 2011, while co-presenting the main show together from 2015.

For five years between 2018 and 2023, Olly Murs was a coach on the talent show The Voice.

Last year, he toured with Take That and hosted his own shows.

This year, he is celebrating 15 years in the business… and across that decade and a half he has had seven hit albums, five number ones, sold more than two million tickets, had 7.6 million Spotify listeners in a month, and has a combined following of more than 27 million people across a range of platforms.

Why is Olly Murs coming to Reading?

This spring, Olly Murs is taking his 15 Years of Hits – Live 2025 tour across the country, with venues including the O2 in London, the First Direct Arena in Leeds and the OVO Hydro in Glasgow.

That tour comes to an end in May, but he will be reprising the show when he comes to Palmer Park on Friday, June 13.

It is part of the Palmer Park Summer Series of events and concerts organised by Legacy Live.

The event is going to be a night to remember, so it should be little surprise that gates open early – the arena that will be erected in the park opens at 4pm. The gig ends at 10.30pm.

Tickets are not yet on sale – they’ll go online from Friday, January 31, but there is a chance to sign up for a discount and have first dibs – visit https://laylo.com/legacylive/OLLY
