John Bramwell was the singer-songwriter in I Am Kloot, picking up top awards in the process. He is now preparing for a Reading gig and hopes you will join.
He was part of I Am Kloot between 1999 and 2014.
During that time, he was achieved a Mercury Prize nomination for 2010’s The Sky At Night, a Top 10 chart position for 2013’s Let It All In, numerous UK and European tours and a triumphant farewell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with an orchestra in 2014.
Now, John Bramwell is a solo artist, and travelling a very different path.

The team behind the Reading gig, Club Velocity, says that John Bramwell’s stunning new album The Light Fantastic shows this and is almost a complete U-turn from his Kloot-days.
Darker clouds have been banished, there are now strings and four-part harmonies and a dozen gloriously exhilarating, beautifully crafted observed songs about life, humanity, the universe and everything else.
This is a chance to hear the musician that BBC Radio 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne says is : “a unique both literally and metaphorically”.
And actor Cate Blanchett chose John Bramwell’s Proof as one of her Desert Island Discs on the BBC Radio 4 show, saying he is her favourite songwriter of all time.
Praise has also come from The New York Times, who said John Bramwell is “the UK’s finest export”, while The Guardian thinks his new songs are “spellbinding”.
You can hear for yourself when he comes to The Face Bar.
