Norden Farm has announced its Autumn season of live events, which will run from September to December.
The line-up includes live music, family shows, comedy, theatre, and magic, as well as celebrations for the arts centre’s 25th anniversary.
September celebrations at Norden Farm
September will be dedicated to celebrating 25 years since Norden Farm Centre for the Arts opened its doors.
The birthday celebrations include The Great Big Community Show on Saturday, September 20, where groups including Maidenhead Drama Guild, Maidenhead Concert Band, and three of Norden Farm’s choirs will perform in an evening hosted by Jeff Lloyd.
The anniversary week will also feature The Norden Farm Forever Gala on Wednesday, September 17, a sparkling evening with a three-course dinner, auction prizes, and a cabaret show.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the arts centre itself, ensuring it can continue to run for years to come.
The 25th Anniversary Exhibition will open from Wednesday, September 10, to Tuesday, September 30, sharing memories from the centre’s history.
Music and theatre highlights
The new season features a variety of music, including The Sound of Springsteen, The Clare Teal 5, and the Raag Qawwali Group.
Fans of classic rock and roll can enjoy The Rymatones, while the St John’s Piano Trio Farewell Concert marks the final performance from the group after a 30-year career.
There will also be a chilling new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein presented by The Arts Centre Hounslow on Wednesday, October 8.
Set in Geneva 1816, Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe Shelley and young Mary Godwin are trapped inside by the weather. They challenge each other to see who can craft the most spine-chilling ghost story.

Other theatre performances include improvised story and verse from Impromptu Shakespeare, the Jewish heist comedy Revenge After The Levoyah, and Candlelit Theatre’s dramatic take on The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Bark Bark is an eerie and amusing tale, told from the perspective of a dog and using cameras, puppets and diorama sets.
Comedy and family shows
The season’s comedy line-up includes Emmanuel Sonubi, who will perform his show about life after surviving heart failure. He turns life’s toughest moments into comedy gold, finding the laughs in survival and the punchlines in perseverance.
Other comedy includes Joe Wells – Daddy Autism in which he explores fatherhood through the lens of neurodiversity; Helen Bauer’s brand new show Bless Her is about being forced to hang out with someone she doesn’t like and who honestly does not like her; Pete Firman brings his trademark blend of magic and comedy from the small screen to the stage; and The Scummy Mummies return with their Christmas show.
During the October half-term, families can enjoy The Great Baldini’s show full of magic and laughter, the live game show Wi-Fi Wars, while Cinderella Ice Cream Seller is a tale about a prince, glass slippers, and, of course, ice cream.
Christmas will feature three family shows: A Winter’s Tail is a fun, play-along theatre adventure where all performances are Relaxed.
Maidenhead Drama Guild in association with Norden Farm presents pantomime Robin Hood – can he battle the evil Sheriff of Nottingham?
And The Comet is an extraordinary story about welcoming the new with songs, puppetry and plenty of magic. It is adapted from the book by Joe Todd-Stanton.
There will also be the annual Christmas Ceilidh on Friday 19 December and the Klezmer Keilidh on Wednesday 24 September.
