Reading-based a cappella group Readiophonics are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year.
To mark a decade of making music using only their voices, the group is inviting the public to join them for a special singing event on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
The group focuses on the art of using the voice as an instrument, layering sounds to create complex arrangements of pop and modern songs, including melodies, harmonies, and percussion.
The upcoming event at St Lukes Church offers a chance for aspiring singers to learn the techniques of modern a cappella directly from the group.
Participants will spend the afternoon learning new vocal arrangements before performing them alongside the Readiophonics in a short public concert.
This celebration of vocal harmony is open to all who wish to experience and join in with the unique sound of a group that has spent 10 years performing in the local music scene.
For those looking for a regular singing commitment, the associated group Vox Pop also meets every Monday from 7pm to 9pm at Readipop Studios.
These sessions cost £7 and focus on building an impressive repertoire of vocal music. Whether joining for the anniversary workshop or the weekly sessions, the groups welcome new members who want to explore the versatility of the human voice.
