Caversham Arts Trail is back this weekend and next, allowing people to meet creative people and buy unique art.
Launched in 2010, it has grown from 16 artists to more than 50, and taking in 20 different venues across Caversham and Emmer Green. This is its biggest ever event, running over two weekends in May: Saturday 9 and 16, and Sunday 10 and 17.
What is an Arts Trail?
Artists turn their studios and homes into living art galleries for the weekend, allowing a pool of artists to join them to exhibit their latest works.
Visitors can explore as many venues as they want, and take the opportunity to admire the work, talk to the creator, and take their favourite pieces home. Buying the art means they are supporting local artists, and have something special to display in their home.
Examples of the types of work that can be found on the trail include paintings and watercolours, jewellery, prints, sculptures, and photographs. Each venue houses different collections, so it’s worth taking time to explore.
Where is the Caversham Arts Trail taking place?
The 2026 Caversham Arts Trail takes place in venues including Mays Barn on Peppard Road, Queen Anne’s School on Henley Road, and homes in Conisboro Avenue, Albert Road, and Kidmore Road.
Also hosting artist are Caversham Print Club, and The Herb Farm on Peppard Road.
A map of all the venues is available to download from cavershamartstrail.co.uk
