A singer-songwriter who blends wry humour, raw honesty and a knack for unforgettable hooks, Lavene’s work has earned him praise from Tom Robinson (“a master storyteller”) and Steve Lamacq (“like something Stiff Records would have released in the 70s”).
Born in Essex and shaped by years of wandering – from busking in France to life on a London houseboat – Scott Lavene found his voice after overcoming addiction and mental health struggles, turning his experiences into songs that can make an audience laugh one moment and cry the next.
Scott Lavene’s acclaimed albums Broke and Milk City Sweethearts showcase his sharp, cinematic songwriting: part talking blues, part art-rock, and always brimming with humanity.
