The story follows Abi and her Grandad as they share Anansi folktales, play games, and work together in the garden.
As they plant memories, they share secrets and develop an unbreakable bond.
Grandad, who is as clever and mischievous as the legendary Anansi, must find a way to tell his granddaughter about his plans to return to his beloved homeland of Jamaica.
This uplifting tale celebrates storytelling and shines a light on Jamaican culture and the Windrush generation through captivating songs and joyous dancing.
The show won Best Performance at the Manchester Culture Awards 2023.
Grandad Anansi is suitable for ages four to nine, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
The running time is 50 minutes with no interval and will be BSL interpreted.
