Reading Christmas lights switch on

Head to the area outside Marks & Spencer in Broad Street for the Reading Christmas lights switch on event.
It starts at 12.30pm with live music from RASPO steel band. They will perform reggae and Christmas tunes.
Swing duo Zac Bauman and Max Hutton perform swing, soul and festive music from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
The lights will be switched on at 4.30pm.
Reading’s Christmas 2024 lights are new this year, and tell the story of the town’s past.
They will pay tribute to, among others, Henry I, Huntley and Palmers, and Reading FC.
The Christmas market, offering craft stalls, food and seasonal treats, launches as well.
Entry is free, and the event will take place whatever the weather.
