Daftness from the beginning: Milton Jones promises jokes all the way

Comic to appear at Reading's Hexagon theatre on Friday, November 15

Warning: this show contains jokes from the start. That’s the message Milton Jones wants to share with audiences thinking of attending his gig in Reading.

The Mock The Week star will be coming to The Hexagon with his latest stand-up set, and he’s warning audiences should not expect a singalong.

They will be forgiven for making that mistakes, as the show is called Ha!Milton Jones, and the artwork takes its cue from a very similar looking musical that has taken both Broadway and the West End by storm.

Instead, the colourful shirt wearing comic warns people that he is tone deaf, he has no sense of rhythm, but he also doesn’t make a song and dance about it.

Instead, audiences can expect a show full of some of life’s big issues.

Such as giraffes.

And tomatoes.

Well, that’s Milton Jones.

He says that people may know him from Live At The Apollo, and numerous Radio 4 appearances.

Or that time he stood for the Scottish National Party, fought a hard campaign but in the end had to respect the wishes of the people of Cardiff.

This is a whole new show of daftness that, he says, you know it makes sense.

Milton has won awards for his shows, praise for his surreal one-liners, and is working on his 15th series for BBC Radio 4.

He is also author of Where Do Comedians Go When They Die? and 10 Second Sermons.

His Reading appearance will be on Friday, November 15, at the Queens Walk theatre.

Tickets cost £35, and the two-hour show sees support from Tom Houghton.
