You’ve seen him in Afterlife, now prepare to discover his stand-up.

Colin Hoult is on tour and stopping off in South Street Arts Centre this November.

The comic is a successful character comedian, know from ‘has-been actress’ Anna Mann, and also popping up in shows such as Ghosts and This Time With Alan Partridge.

Reading-born comic Ricky Gervais is clearly a fan, as he has cast Colin in several of his projects including Derek (Channel 4), After Life (Netflix), and Life’s Too Short (BBC).

And if that wasn’t enough, he appeared in telefantasy show Being Human, are also popped up in BBC Three’s Murder In Successville.

Previous live shows became a Radio 4 series, Colin Hoult’s Carnival of Monsters, and he is a former winner of the Writers’ Guild Award for Comedy.

Clearly a hit, his new tour is an opportunity to discover who he really is …

The stand-up show is about family, fatherhood, and a formative childhood experience with a Ouija board and a gorilla.

It’s also a bit different to last year’s show, called The Death of Anna Mann.

Praise includes five-star reviews from The Telegraph: “Terrific… you will laugh yourself silly throughout”, and The Times: “Genius … one of the funniest comedy shows I’ve seen”.

Metro also thought it was good: “Sheer comic gold”.

The show is for ages 14 upwards and includes a support act before the main event.

Tickets cost £20.50.

The show is on Saturday, November 2, from 8pm.
