Live Forever is a supersonic experience for Britpop fans

Tribute to 1990s music saw a packed Hexagon enjoy some of the best music from Oasis

Live Forever – The Rise of Britain’s Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band at The Hexagon in Reading was a Supersonic experience from start to finish.

The Oasis tribute act stormed the stage for an unforgettable performance on Saturday, February 18, wowing fans of Britpop music.

Before the show, fans eagerly gathered at the merchandise table, quickly snapping up hats (£10) and guitar picks (£2), while tote bags, T-shirts, and programmes (£5, £12, and £20 respectively) were also in high demand.

Dressed like the originals the band started their set with great energy, causing the crowd to go wild and helped recreate the sights and sounds of one of the biggest groups in British history.

From the first song, the band was on fire and they commanded the auditorium with their presence, while the stage was bathed in a mixture of red and blue lights, and massive projections behind them showing quick flashes of trippy visuals.

The power and volume of their music had the crowd dancing and singing, making for a great atmosphere.

The guitars of Steve Allen and Derek McCabe (playing as Oasis’ lead guitarist Noel Gallagher) were sounding exceptional, while the rhythm section, anchored by Matt Weston (on drums) provided the perfect foundation for every song.

The chemistry between the band members was undeniable, with each member feeding off the crowd’s energy, giving it their all during every note.

A standout moment during Live Forever came during Don’t Look Back In Anger, where Degsy Williamson (playing as Oasis’ lead vocalist Liam Gallagher) encouraged the audience to sing the chorus back at them.

The audience erupted into a powerful chorus, their voices overwhelming the band in a spine-tingling moment of unity.

The guitar solo during this song was nothing short of mind-blowing, with Steve Allen ripping through a blistering solo that had the crowd cheering in approval.

Live Forever team form a playful and sincere connection with the audience

Throughout the Live Forever show, the band maintained a playful yet sincere connection with the audience. In between songs, Williamson had some playful interactions with the adoring crowds, adding to the experience.

At one point, during Talk Tonight and The Masterplan, he climbed into the audience pausing to pose for photos with lucky fans.

The band ended their set with, of course, Live Forever – a song that had the whole venue joining in, raising their hands in the air, and living in the moment.

As the band walked off the stage and the lights came up, the energy was such that the theatre was still buzzing.

The band members of Live Forever even met fans after the concert at the for a photo and signature, which Some Might Say was the perfect way to top off a great music filled evening.

Who needs to spend hundreds of pounds on the real thing when you have a group as good as this?
