Gareth Malone’s happy day: star invites you to a singalong session at The Hexagon

Gareth Malone, the man who got the nation singing, is returning to the stage for a new show coming to Reading’s Hexagon.

He is bringing his Sing-Along-A-Gareth 4: 50 Years of Song to venues around the country and is planning a trip to Berkshire.

He has spent decades working with choirs in schools, communities and workplaces.

Now, he brings that experience to invite audiences to join him in a live celebration of the music that has shaped his life.

He will be backed by a live band and singers, as well as local choirs.

MORE CHEESELOGS: Griff Rhys Jones can’t keep away from Reading … and he’s hoping you’ll join him in November 8

Gareth Malone will lead the audience through a setlist featuring familiar and favourite songs from the 1960s to the present day.

The show, which takes place on Wednesday, November 5,  aims to celebrate the joy of singing together.

Songs include:

  • Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen)
  • Wake Me Up (Avicii)
  • The Greatest Love of All (Whitney Houston)
  • Single Ladies (Beyoncé)
  • Shake It Off (Taylor Swift)

The show finishes with a “super medley”, which promises to raise the roof of the popular six-sided theatre.

Gareth Malone is looking forward to be coming to Reading.

“I’m thrilled to be hitting the road again with my fourth singalong tour. The audiences have been incredible, and these special evenings are my absolute highlights of the year,” he says.

“I can’t wait to get on stage and celebrate my fiftieth – and 50 incredible songs that are guaranteed to make you sing.”
