Star of Mock The Week and Live At The Apollo, Angela Barnes, is set to bring her new show, Angst, to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts this March. The performance follows the critical acclaim of her previous tour, Hot Mess, which was filmed as a special for ITVX.

In her new show, Angela explores her identity as a self-confessed worrier.

The performance promises a mix of stories regarding unmitigated failure and a distinct lack of wisdom, combined with plenty of jokes and even a little bit of German.

Angela’s career began in nursing and social care before she transitioned to comedy following the death of her father in 2008. He had always encouraged her to be a comedian. So, a year after his death, she decided that life was too short not to pursue it as a career.

She did a 12-week workshop in Brighton and a few months later started her stage career. The rest is history: After winning the BBC Radio 2 New Comedy Award in 2011, she became a regular fixture on the stand-up circuit and television.

Her credits include appearances on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and BBC’s House of Games, and she also co-hosts the popular history podcast, We Are History. She has also appeared on Russell Kane’s Whistlestop Tour for BBC Radio 2, written for BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz and performed at festivals including the Latitude festival. In 2013, she joined the cast of the topical show Stand Up for the Week and is a regular panellist on The News Quiz.

The upcoming comedy night will be held in the intimate setting of the Courtyard Theatre at Norden Farm.

When is Angela Barnes coming to Maidenhead, and how can I get tickets?

Angela Barnes will perform her show, Angst, at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Altwood Road, Maidenhead, SL6 4PF. The performance is scheduled for Wednesday, 4 March at 8pm.

Tickets for the show are priced at £18.50.

They are available to purchase through the Norden Farm website at www.nordenfarm.org or by calling the Box Office on 01628 788997.
