Wonder Gigs brings musical fun to Reading’s under 4s

Wonder gigs is an interactive concert aims to help children aged four and under learn more about music, instruments and how to have fun.

The show is coming to South Street Arts Centre on Saturday, January 11, and will feature accessible and enjoyable songs for big and small ears. The set list will feature acoustic versions of folk, jazz and pop songs.

And there will be ‘beautiful and atmospheric’ sensory visuals accompanying the fun.

Audiences can join in, with experienced play facilitators helping with props, puppets, bubbles and gentle child-led play.

What is the theme for Wonder Gigs’ January show?

The show is performed by Filskit Theatre, and features musicians such as Sophie Ross, Jonny Wharton & Susannah Austin-Whitelock.

Their theme for the January is Under The Sea.

Dancing, moving and singing is encouraged by the team.

The company say they try and make their work as accessible as possible.

When Wonder Gigs be coming to Reading and how much are tickets?

Wonder Gigs sold out its previous show back in September.

The show, which will last up to 45 minutes takes place at 10am and 11.30am on Saturday, January 11.

They take place at Reading’s South Street Arts Centre. The venue, postcode RG1 4QU, is close to the Queen’s Road car park and there is on-street parking available, paid for by parking meter.

Tickets cost £10 for a child and one adult, and £15 for one child and two adults. For two children and one or two adults, two £10 will need to be purchased.
