From the comedian who invented the phrase ‘No Planet B’, Rob Newman is back on the road with an all-new stand-up show.

Where The Wild Things Were is Rob’s new show about future cities, lost beavers, philistine Bingo callers, Dorothy Parker’s Multiverse Diaries and A Man Called Clive.

Who is Rob Newman?

Rob Newman is an impressionist and stand-up comedian. He was once part of the duo Newman and Baddiel with David Baddiel and part of The Mary Whitehouse Experience along with Hugh Dennis and Steve Punt. This was a real pop-culture moment that saw hilarious sketches with catchphrases such as ‘That’s you that is’ and ‘Milky Milky’ enter the lexicon.

Originally a Radio 1 comedy show, the show transferred to BBC2, and exploded on to the national consciousness.

Newman and Baddiel became the first comedians to play and sell out the – then – 12,000-seat Wembley Arena London, putting comedy firmly on the agenda.

Rob went on to write four novels and two witty books, including The Entirely Accurate Encyclopaedia of Evolution based on one of his stand-up shows.

His BBC Radio 4 programme of the same name won the award for Best Scripted Comedy with a live audience at the BBC Audio Drama Awards.

He is winner of Best Scripted Comedy and Best Comedy with a live audience – BBC Audio Drama 2019.
