Reading Rep presents A Christmas Carol
Wednesday, December 3 at 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM

The festive favourite, A Christmas Carol, returns to Reading Rep Theatre, with a unique adaptation that relocates the classic story to Victorian Reading.
Written by Beth Flintoff, this heartwarming drama is set in the town’s very own Huntley and Palmers Biscuit Factory, where the “bah humbug” of Ebenezer Scrooge reigns supreme.
This production is a fun and modern take on a well-worn tale, with local references and a cast that makes the familiar characters relatable and accessible.
The set design, featuring a series of cupboards that transform into different locations, is described as masterful in its economy, while the technical design brings a “dreamlike quality” to the ghostly scenes.
Saturday 6th December – relaxed performance
Thursday 11th December – signed and captioned performance
