Wokingham Fireworks is one of the biggest events in the town’s calendar and attracts thousands of people every year.
There are two elements to it: the main event in Cantley Park, and a torchlit procession from the town hall in Market Place to the park.
A funfair opens in Cantley at 5.30pm, and organisers say it will be bigger than ever with rides of younger children and scary rides for older ones.
At 6.15pm, the torchlit procession leaves Market Place. It is headed up by Saint Sebastian Band, mayors, local dignitaries and other VIPs, all holding flaming torches.
The route goes along Broad Street and into Milton Road on the way to Cantley.
Once inside the grounds, people can take advantage of many food stalls, enjoy the fun fair and buy glow in the dark novelties before watching the show.
The fun fair remains open after the display.
Organisers encourage people to park in a car park, and not at Cantley or on the streets surrounding Cantley Park.
The event is co-organised by volunteers from groups including the Wokingham Lions, Wokingham Rotary, Easthampstead Rotary, and Windsor Forest Unicorn Club.
It usually raises around £25,000 for good causes, chosen by the groups. This year, the main beneficiaries will be Debra, Keep Mobile, Home-Start and the Samaritans.
