Harry Enfield is a BAFTA-winning comedian, actor, writer and director who began his career on Channel 4’s Saturday Live.
Harry has since been involved in some of the most iconic and successful comedy shows of the last three decades.
Harry set up a writing partnership with Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson which spawned his own BBC Show, first with Harry Enfield’s Television Programme, and then Harry Enfield and Chums, with co-stars Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke.
Famous characters created included Tim – nice but dim, Smashie and Nicey, Wayne and Waynetta Slob, Mr Cholmondley-Warner and Kevin the Teenager, who later starred in Harry’s own film, 2000’s Ibiza-set Kevin & Perry Go Large.
In this rare and entertaining evening, Harry will reflect on 40 years of arsing about in comedy and bring some of his favourite characters vividly back to life on stage.
From the meteoric rise of Loadsamoney to the fury of Kevin the Teenager, Harry offers an unforgettable evening that is both brilliantly silly and strikingly insightful.
The second half of the evening is over to your questions. This is your chance to ask how it all works for him, what he is most proud of, and what he says to the many who ask if his material would be allowed today.
The show is strictly for those aged 18 and upwards.
