Television presenter and comedian Joel Dommett is preparing to return to Reading next week as part of his nationwide tour. The star of The Masked Singer and Survivor will perform his new show, titled Happy Idiot, at The Hexagon on Friday 27 February 2026. This follows a successful work in progress performance held at South Street Arts Centre last year where the material was first tested.

Joel has become one of the most prominent faces on British television, having recently hosted the National Television Awards for the fourth year running.

Despite his high-profile broadcasting career, he is returning to the stage to share stories about the glamorous world of television and the significantly less glamorous reality of becoming a first-time father.

He describes the show as a high-energy look at his life as a self-proclaimed happy idiot.

The performance is strictly for those aged 14 and over, with no admittance for younger children even if accompanied by an adult.

When is Joel Dommett: Happy Idiot coming to Reading, and how can I get tickets?

The show Joel Dommett: Happy Idiot takes place on Friday 27 February 2026 at 7.30pm.

The venue is The Hexagon, located at Queens Walk, Reading, RG1 7QF. Tickets are priced at £28.50 per person. There is a maximum limit of six tickets bookable online per customer.

For those requiring wheelchair or access seats, please contact the box office directly.

Customers are advised to sign up to the venue access list prior to booking.

You can contact the box office by calling 0118 960 6060 or by emailing boxoffice@reading.gov.uk.
