Future Transmissions is making the final preparations for a high-energy day rave at Reading’s Face Bar later this month, headlined by legendary hard dance duo Lab 4.

The event includes support from Tim Samsara, Cybernaut, and Tasha KP.

Lab 4, fronted by Les Elston, are a multi-award-winning pioneer of hard dance, trance and EDM.

Over a career spanning more than two decades, they have released 10 studio albums on labels including Avex, Resist, and Tidy Trax, and worked on high-profile advertising campaigns for Bacardi, Reebok (Superbowl), Pepsi, BBC, Coca-Cola, and Capcom’s Auto Modellista.

Known for their explosive live shows, Lab 4 built huge followings across Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, and the UK, earning accolades such as Best Live Hard Dance Awards PA (2004–2006) and a place among the Top 20 Most Influential Electronic Bands of All Time in Loud Magazine Japan.

In 2009, they collaborated with GodsKitchen on sound design for the Boombox Global Tours, and in 2013, they secured their first major motion picture track placement for the sci-fi film Time Lapse, starring The Flash’s Danielle Panabaker.

More recently, Lab 4 have headlined alongside Showtek, Steve Aoki, Yoji, Sean Tyas, and ASYS, performing at major events in Japan, Australia and the UK. Their EP Ctrl_Alt_Destroy was released in 2018 through Hard Trance Europe / Black Hole Distribution.

Also performing is Tim Samsara, a key figure in London’s 1990s rave scene.

As promoter of the legendary hard trance club Escape From Samsara at The Fridge in Brixton, Samsara was instrumental in shaping the UK’s underground dance movement. His sets remain synonymous with euphoric energy, classic beats and timeless rave spirit.

Cybernaut will bring their signature uplifting, melodic trance to the decks, while Tasha KP, a Caversham-based DJ known for her hard, breakbeat-driven sets, completes the line-up.

Starting her career in 1990, Tasha became one of the first women to produce a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in 1997 and has since played at venues including Tresor (Berlin), Megadog, and Vixen Festival. She’s currently a resident at NueTopia, Reading’s old skool rave event series.
