‘The Beach Boys are going to be really special’: How to get tickets to their only UK show of 2025

Band famous for hits including Surfin USA and I Get Around to perform alongside David Essex and Lulu

The Beach Boys, Lulu and David Essex are an all-star line-up coming to Englefield near Reading next summer for a day of music to remember.

Their Berkshire date will be their only UK show in 2025, and is part of their The Sounds of the Summer tour.

Tickets go on sale from Friday, December 6, with a pre-sale for registered customers on Wednesday, December 4.

Giles Cooper of Heritage Live Festivals, who are organising the event, said: “It’s been a huge ambition of ours to host a show for the legendary Beach Boys for some time now, and we’re delighted to not only make it happen; but also to have their only UK show for next year.

“This is going to be really special – the perfect summer band for the perfect summer concert and a show that will be etched in our memories for many years to come.”

Who are The Beach Boys?

The band need little introduction, having been part of the music scene since 1961. In that time they have had hits galore including Good Vibrations, I Get Around, Wouldn’t It Be Nice, and Surfin’ USA.

Their brilliant harmonies conveyed simple truths through sophisticated, pioneering musical arrangements. The Beach Boys transcended their music and have come to represent Californian culture. They provided fans around the world with a passport to experience love, youthful exuberance, and surf culture.

They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and have received more than 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold record awards.

The Rock n Roll Hall of Famers were also honoured at the 2001 Grammy Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sounds Of Summer: The Very Best Of The Beach Boys, Capitol/EMI’s 30-track collection of the band’s biggest hits, has achieved triple-platinum success with sales of more than three million copies in the US since its release.

The Beach Boys are led by lead singer and chief lyricist Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, Jon Bolton, Keith Hubacher, Randy Leago and John Wedemeyer continue the legacy of the iconic band.

This concert will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.

Who is David Essex?

David Essex

Internationally renowned singer, composer and actor David Essex first shot to fame as a musical theatre actor before going on to enjoy a remarkable career that has combined concerts, records, composing, films and television with striking success.

He has written, recorded and produced albums that have sold millions of copies worldwide. He’s also had twenty-three Top 30 singles in Britain alone.

These include the Grammy nominated Rock On which not only topped the charts in Britain and the US but sold over one million copies.

Subsequent singles followed such as Lamplight, Hold Me Close and Gonna Make You A Star which made David a household name.
