ELO Encounter is coming to Arlington Arts Centre in Newbury on Saturday, 31 January 2026, bringing a full live tribute to the music of Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra.
The show recreates the sound and spectacle of ELO in an all-live performance, featuring strings, layered vocal harmonies and a setlist drawn from the band’s best-known recordings.
Songs featured include Evil Woman, Telephone Line and Don’t Bring Me Down, spanning the band’s hit-filled catalogue.

Designed as a complete concert experience rather than a simple song-by-song tribute, the production combines faithful musical arrangements with lighting and visual effects intended to mirror the scale of the group’s original live shows.
The focus is on capturing both the orchestral textures and the rock foundations that defined Electric Light Orchestra’s sound.
ELO Encounter has received strong praise for its live performances, including five-star reviews from BBC Radio presenters, who describe the show as “a brilliant night out” and “a fantastic band”.
