Fern Brady promises uncompromising comedy and goat farms in Greece

She’s helped promote Scotland, had a Roast Battle on Comedy Central, helped judge the BBC’s New Comedy Awards, and been a challenger on Taskmaster. Now, she’s preparing to visit Reading.

Fern Brady is known for caustic wit, some top-quality writing and electric stagecraft.

The three will combine when she brings I Gave You Milk To Drink to The Hexagon on Tuesday, November 19.

The comedy show is based on the premise of what happens when you get everything you want and it’s not enough … instead you want to run a small goat farm in rural Greece.

It also explores some of her experiences since she was diagnosed with autism in 2021.

With the promise of deadpan humour and uncompromising comedy, it promises to be a night to remember.

Time Out Australia gave the show four stars when they reviewed it earlier this year, and said the show offers dry quips and social commentary, including a meeting with her spirit guide in the form of a stray cat on a Thailand beach, and asking why Scotland has more monuments dedicated to dogs than women.

Their reviewer said: “Brady is a natural storyteller, effortlessly holding the audience in the palm of her hand”.

The show will be performed from 7.30pm and is suitable for ages 16 upwards.
